Armenian law enforcement agencies detained five out of 10 servicemen returned by Azerbaijan, said press secretary of the Armenian Investigative Committee Vardan Tadevosyan, Qazet.az reports quoting Sputnik Armenia.
"Currently, 5 servicemen have been detained on charges of violating the rules of military service and combat duty, which led to serious consequences. They have been submitted to the court for arrest, ”Tadevosyan added.
It should be noted that based on the principles of humanism, the Republic of Azerbaijan handed over 10 servicemen of Armenian origin to the Armenian side on December 4, 2021. The State Security Service told that the detainees were detained on November 16, 2021 while preventing the provocation committed by the Armenian armed forces in the direction of Kalbajar on the state border.
