A criminal case has been initiated against the former rector of Yerevan Medical University

A criminal case was opened against Mikael Narimanyan, the former rector of the Yerevan Medical University of Armenia, in particular regarding the fact of embezzlement of a large amount of state property.

Qazet.az reports according to the Press Service of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Armenia, which refers to "Sputnik Armenia", has published information on this subject.

It was reported that M. Narimanyan was accused of embezzling 39 million 600 thousand drams (98 thousand 507 dollars) belonging to the university.

He is suspected of buying the cottages of the "Tsovasar" hotel complex, owned by "Navasar" MMC, at inflated prices.

It was noted that the educational institution committed this crime with the help of M.S., the head of the Trade Union Organization. A criminal case was also filed against the head of the trade union organization.
