A Pakistani bank wants to convert its subsidiary BOKT in Azerbaijan into a bank
Pakistan's "MCB Bank" is interested in getting a banking license in Azerbaijan.

Khurram Javaid Bhattin, president of Pakistan-Azerbaijan Chamber of Economic Cooperation (PAKAZCHAM), said this in his statement to Qazet.az report 

"Discussions are currently underway in this direction. MCB Bank is one of the largest banks in Pakistan and operates as a non-bank credit organization (NBC) in Azerbaijan," he said.

It should be noted that MCB BOKT was established in 2019 on the basis of the leasing company of the same name, which has been operating since 2009. Its authorized capital is 4,284 million manats. The shareholders of BOKT are MCB Bank of Pakistan with a 99.94% share and Ramal Jafar oglu Jafarov, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, with a 0.06% share.
