ADB will allocate 14 billion dollars to reduce the impact of the food crisis in the region

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) plans to allocate at least 14 billion US dollars in financial resources for the period 2022-2025 within the framework of a comprehensive support program to reduce the impact of the deepening food crisis in the Asia-Pacific region and ensure long-term food security by strengthening food systems.

Referring to ADB Qazet.az informs that with this financial assistance, the bank is expanding its support to the region, where approximately 1.1 billion people do not have healthy food due to poverty and high food prices.

This funding will be channeled through existing and new projects in sectors including agricultural products, food production and distribution, social protection, irrigation and water management, and projects using natural solutions.
