"In several regions of Azerbaijan, the rapid onset of cold has caused children to fall ill in schools and avoid studying. Taking this into account, I propose to adjust the time of the transition to the winter season according to the air temperature and allocate additional funds for heating the schools."

Qazet.az reports that this was said by Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva at the joint meeting of the Milli Majlis Committees on Legal Policy and State Building, Defense, Security and Combating Corruption, Human Rights, International Relations and Interparliamentary Relations.

"Besides, there is a need to finance additional teaching materials in schools along with basic teaching materials from the budget, increase the number of psychologists according to the number of students, hire professional psychologists, and build new student dormitories," he said.
