AEBA will send security missions to nuclear power plants of Ukraine
Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (AEBA) Rafael Grossi met with the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal in Paris.
Qazet.az reports with reference to TASS that during the meeting, the organization of the safety zone at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZAES) and the new missions of the agency were discussed.
"We have agreed to send AEBA security missions to all nuclear power plants in Ukraine. Work on creating a security zone at ZAES continues," Grossi wrote on Twitter.
Note that ZAES is currently the largest nuclear power plant operating in Europe. Russia took control of the station on February 28. In early September, the AEBA mission led by Grossi visited the NPP. In the report prepared by the agency in this regard, the call for the creation of a safety zone around ZAES was reflected in order to prevent accidents that may occur as a result of military operations.
