ANAMA president meets EU Special Representative for South Caucasus

At the meeting, the sides exchanged views on possible EU support for humanitarian demining activities in the liberated territories

A meeting was held between Vugar Suleymanov, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijani Mine Action Agency (ANAMA), and a delegation led by Toivo Klaar, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus, Qazet.az informs, citing ANAMA.

At the meeting, the sides exchanged views on possible EU support for humanitarian demining activities in the liberated territories and future cooperation in this field.

Information was provided on mine clearance operations in the liberated areas, projects planned according to priorities, work done to increase the agency's material and technical base and staff, and measures taken under the mine and explosives awareness program.

Vugar Suleymanov expressed the hope for the development of fruitful cooperation with the European Union on the issues discussed.
