Armenian MFA: Discussions for the normalization of relations with Turkey will continue
"Discussions on the implementation of agreements on the normalization of relations between Yerevan and Ankara will continue."

Qazet.az reports with reference to "Sputnik Armenia" that Vaan Unanyan, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, said this.

According to him, technical issues were discussed at the last meeting held between the parties in November: "Representatives responsible for the implementation of the July agreements of special representatives from the Armenian side participated."

It should be noted that Turkey has closed its borders with Armenia since 1993 in protest against the occupation of Azerbaijani lands and severed all ties with Yerevan.

After the second Karabakh war - Azerbaijan's lands were freed from Armenian encroachment, steps were taken towards the normalization of relations between official Ankara and Yerevan.

Turkey has appointed Serdar Kılıçı, and Armenia has appointed Ruben Rubenyan as a special representative for the normalization of relations. Their first meeting was held on January 14, 2022 in Moscow, the capital of Russia. The second and third meetings took place on February 22 and May 3 in Vienna, the capital of Austria.
