2% of HIV patients in Azerbaijan are persons under 17

"78.5% of 7,867 people infected with HIV in Azerbaijan are people at the age of 25-49," said Director of Republic AIDS Center of the Ministry of Health Famil Mammadov in his speech on "World AIDS Day", Qazet.az reports.

F. Mammadov noted that while persons under 17 make up 2%: "Infection rate of the pregnant women with the virus is minimized thanks to therapy. It is effective in even 98% cases."
