Belarus activist jailed for displaying Ukraine flag on Facebook page

The leader of an independent Belarusian trade union organisation has been sentenced to 15 days in jail, Qazet.az reports according to the Polish-based European Radio.

Maksim Paznyakow was arrested after the Ukrainian flag was displayed on the profile picture of his Facebook page, along with the slogan "For independence!".

He was detained on 17 May, Euroradio says.
