BTC oil transportation through Turkey declines by 6%

In October this year, 16.759 million barrels of oil were transported through Turkey via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline, Qazet.az informs, citing the Turkish pipeline operator BOTAS.

This is 936,000 barrels or 5.9% more than in October last year.

In January-October 2021, the BTC pipeline pumped 164.958 million barrels of oil through Turkey, a drop of 11.007 million barrels or 6.25% from the first ten months of 2020.

The BTC pipeline mainly carries oil from the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) block of fields and condensate from Shah Deniz. Moreover, other crude oil and condensate volumes, including oil from Turkmenistan, Russia, and Kazakhstan, are transported through the BTC.
