Erdogan says UN needs reforms

The United Nations, which was founded after the First World War, has failed to provide justice for a long time, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in a video message to the opening ceremony of the TRTWorld Forum.

He said the UN needed changes: "The functioning of this system in its current format, which gives no say to the Islamic world, ignores the needs of African, Latin American and South Asian states and pursues the interests of five powers solely, is impossible. No one can now deny the need for reforms in UN and other international structures."
