Passenger and cargo transportation by air up in Azerbaijan

From January through August 2021, 687,200 passengers were transported by air in Azerbaijan, Qazet.az informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

This figure is 39.9% higher than in the same period last year.

According to the committee, 99.3% of transportation was carried out by the state and 0.7% by private companies. Cargo transportation by air increased by 15.1% compared to the same period of last year and amounted to 318,900 tons.
