President of European Council calls on Azerbaijan, Armenia to dialogue

Charles Michel said the EU supports further efforts to resolve conflicts within the norms and principles of international law

"Protracted conflicts in the Eastern Partnership region are one of the key problems," said Charles Michel, President of the European Council, Qazet.az reports.

He said that the EU supports further efforts to resolve conflicts within the norms and principles of international law: “European Union is always ready to play its role in preventing conflicts and helping to find solutions to existing conflicts. This includes trust-building, contributing to a sustainable and comprehensive solution, and supporting steps towards post-conflict rehabilitation.”

Charles Michel called on Azerbaijan, Armenia to dialogue: “Relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia show how fragile the situation is. I believe that only political dialogue can lead to a lasting solution."
