Relations  with France have always been important for us, says Azerbaijani President

"Azerbaijan and France enjoy strong cultural relations and the history of our cooperation demonstrates it visually," said President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in his remarks at the international conference under the motto “South Caucasus: Development and Cooperation” held at ADA University, Qazet.az reports.

The Head of state has said there are great achievements in several fields of cooperation and noted that French and Azerbaijani culture days have repeatedly been held. About 10 Azerbaijani cities and French cities have become sister cities. The establishment of Baku French Liceum, as well as Azerbaijani-French University, are very positive results. Our very different cultural relations continue.

"However, we touch upon general political issues, I would note that they are normal, have already approached normal. We understand that a strong Armenian Diaspora negatively impacts not only the decision-making process in France but also the brains of people. Relations with France have always been important for us. Because France is one of the leading countries in the world. We also want to say that Azerbaijan is not as it is presented by Armenia," Azerbaijani President has brought to attention.
