WHO Representative: "Vaccination of children should be decided by country itself"

"We highly appreciate opening schools in Azerbaijan," Representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Azerbaijan Hande Harmanci told Qazet.az.

WHO Representative noted that vaccination of children is the decision of the country itself: "There is no decision regarding vaccination of children in Azerbaijan yet. Despite it, opening schools is very essential. Children have been away from school for a long period of time. It caused many problems from their health point of view, prevented children's socialization. That is why, as WHO, we gave recommendations regarding opening schools with UNICEF. Certainly, the continuation of visual education should be tried by following necessary measures."
