At least 11 people have died and 15 were injured after a strong flood that affected a sector of the city of Quito, reported the National Risk and Emergency Management Service of Ecuador (SNGRE), Qazet.az reports citing Paris Beacon News.

The entity stated that 25 ambulances of the Ministry of Public Health (MSP) have transferred an undetermined number of wounded to different health centers, while 60 members of the Armed Forces have joined the search and rescue tasks, led by personnel from the Fire Department and police.
