Austrian FM speaks optimistically about restoration of peace in region

"We know that the wound is still fresh, there are some open questions. However, I am more optimistic than last year. Since I see the steps taken in the right direction, " Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg, who is on a visit to Armenia said at a joint press conference with his Armenian counterpart, Qazet.az reports.
He said that Austria and the EU want to lend more assistance in this regard. The Minister noted that, however, the parties should be interested in their assistance.
"But I say openly that the international community will not and cannot replace the political will of the parties. For this, Baku and Yerevan, Azerbaijanis and Armenians need to follow this path, "he stated.
