Azerbaijan allows prisoners to hold video meetings

Prisoners are allowed to hold video meetings, according to the proposed amendment to the Penal Code, which was discussed at today's meeting of the Legal Policy and State Building Committee of the Milli Majlis and recommended to the plenary session of the Parliament, Qazet.az reports

The draft envisages replacing short-term meetings with telephone conversations and video meetings at the request of the convict when restricting meetings during the period of the anti-epidemic regime, sanitary hygiene, and quarantine regimes.
