The Ministry of Health, the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance, and the Union for the Management of Medical Territorial Units have issued a joint statement, Qazet.az reports.
"Considering the numerous appeals addressed to the health authorities in recent days, in connection with the amendment to the Decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 371 dated November 27, 2021, we state that the reduced quarantine period, which consists of 7 days, for individuals infected with a new mutation of the COVID-19 virus, also applies to individuals with a “positive” PCR test result before 24 January and their identified “close contacts”.
