Azerbaijan and Turkey to recognize food certificates mutually
The Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Turkey will exchange information on quarantined pests
The Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Turkey will exchange information on quarantined pests, Qazet.az reports citing the draft law "On ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on cooperation in food security" discussed at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis.
According to the draft law, information on mutual exchange, recognition, and change of samples of food certificates issued in both countries will be provided in accordance with the principle of equivalence. Besides, the parties will exchange information on food products which circulation is prohibited or restricted in accordance with national legislation, as well as food products under veterinary and phytosanitary control.
