Azerbaijan, Pakistan to sign cooperation deal on audit

A meeting was held at the Chamber of Auditors with Pakistani ambassador to Azerbaijan Bilal Hayee and the head of the Pakistan-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce Khurram Bati, Qazet.az informs, citing the Chamber of Auditors.

Welcoming the guests, Chairman of the Chamber Vahid Novruzov noted the strong friendly relations between the two countries, appreciating Pakistan's constant support for Azerbaijan in its just struggle during the counter-offensive against Armenia's military aggression. He thanked Pakistan for its important political and moral support and firm position in restoring its territorial integrity within the recognized borders.

The sides exchanged views on cooperation between the two countries in the field of auditing and accounting, and discussed the signing of an agreement on cooperation in the field of audit and training between the Chamber of Auditors of Azerbaijan and the Pakistan Institute of Privileged Accountants (ICAP).

Speaking about the international scientific-practical conference dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Chamber of Auditors in September 2021, Novruzov stressed the attention and care shown by President Ilham Aliyev for independent audit and the role of independent audit in the transparent strategy implemented in Azerbaijan.
