Azerbaijan's Minister: "We will witness returning of the first IDP families to their houses soon"

On January 22, 2022, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has received the delegation led by Kamarudin Jaffar, deputy minister of foreign affairs of Malaysia, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan told Qazet.az.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov spoke with satisfaction about the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Malaysia and highly evaluated the existing political dialogue with friendly Malaysia.
The Minister has stressed with gratitude Malaysia's unequivocal support for Azerbaijan's sovereignty and territorial integrity, both bilateral and multilateral levels. Especially, it has been noted that Malaysia's support of Azerbaijan's righteous position based on international law during 44 days of war is highly appreciated by our side.
Deputy minister Kamarudin Jaffar has talked with satisfaction about the bilateral meetings held with the Deputy Chairman of the Milli Majlis, as well as Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department within the framework of the visit to Azerbaijan. He noted that relations between two countries have developed very well about the last 30 years and the importance of joint activities in specific areas to further develop these relations has been noted.
The sides exchanged views on opportunities for developing cooperation between the two countries in economic, trade, energy, including alternative energy sources, as well as humanitarian, educational, tourism and other fields.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov spoke about the current situation in the region, issues related to the implementation of joint statements signed as a result of the 44-day war, landmines threat that we face in the liberated areas, and the fight against this threat. The minister has informed his companion about the restoration and construction work after the war, rapid infrastructure projects in the liberated areas and noted that we will witness the returning of the first IDP families to their houses soon.
The parties have also discussed successful cooperation issues implemented within the framework of the international organizations, as well as the UN, Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Non-Aligned Movement.
The parties also exchanged views on other regional and international issues of mutual interest.
