As part of a visit to Baku, a delegation led by Turkish Minister of Environment and Urban Development, Murat Kurum, together with Azerbaijani Ecology and Natural Resources Minister Mukhtar Babayev and Chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture Anar Guliyev, paid tribute to the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the Alley of Honors on October 12, 2021.
The Turkish delegation laid a wreath at the National Leader's tomb, Qazet.az informs.

The guests also visited the Alley of Martyrs, the Turkish Martyrs monument, and then met with officials at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.
The sides exchanged views on environmental protection, mitigation of climate change, proper management of waste, including plastic waste, specially protected natural areas, and other issues of mutual interest, and discussed prospects for future cooperation.
Also, a two-year (2022-2023) Work Program on the implementation of the "Agreement on cooperation in the environmental protection between the governments of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Turkey" was signed.
