Azerbaijan will launch new satellites
"Azerbaijan will launch new satellites in the future and new information will be discovered."
Qazet.az reports that Samaddin Asadov, Chairman of the Board of the "Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Azerkosmos)" under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, made this statement during his speech at the UN/Azerbaijan international event "International Space Air Initiative: Sun, Space Air and Geosphere". said.
According to him, most of the telecommunication infrastructure depends on satellite activity: "Everyone uses navigation services, and meteorology and climate change researchers benefit from research images and data from satellites. Discussions about solar activity and space weather are becoming more and more important. Currently, the government of Azerbaijan has three satellites in operation. As an agency, we apply the data provided by these facilities in many economic areas. They play a major role in the development of telecommunication infrastructure. Solar and space anomalies do not affect the satellite infrastructure. As an operator, we suffer from this anomaly. We receive numerous data from various organizations. and we try to see the activity of satellites in advance. We take certain measures so that the negative consequences of this effect are not so visible."
The chairman of "Azerkosmos" said that extensive documents are being prepared regarding Azerbaijan's activities in the space field until 2030: "Today, Azerbaijan is recognized as a reliable partner in the space industry. Next year, the International Astronautical Congress will be held in Baku."
