According to information, the Bureau has sent an official request to the BBS. According to the agreement, from January 1 next year, Azerbaijani insurers will sell "Green Card" insurance certificates to the owners of vehicles from the mentioned countries. It is expected that local insurance companies will gain a lot of profit from this activity, which means service export.
In January-November of this year, under the "Green Card" insurance system, ISB paid about 531,000 manats for insurance incidents caused by Azerbaijani citizens abroad, and more than 95,000 manats for insurance incidents caused by foreign citizens on the territory of the country. Among the road accidents that occurred in the country with the participation of foreign citizens, the largest payment was made for the incident caused by a Russian citizen and amounted to 23,000 manats.
The "Green Card" insurance system operating under the Working Group on Road Transport of the UN Economic Commission for Europe was established in 1949 to facilitate international transport and to adjust damages within this system.
