As part of the reforms in the army, the purchase of modern weapons and military equipment will continue, Azerbaijani defense minister, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov said at a meeting with the personnel of a new military unit in the liberated territories, Qazet.az informs.

The minister stressed that the head of state highly appreciated the courage and heroism of the servicemen of the Azerbaijani army, including the personnel of the military unit, shown during the Patriotic War.

Reminding the servicemen of the need to maintain a high level of combat readiness, as well as to be ready to fulfill the new tasks of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, the minister of defense noted that, as part of the reforms being carried out in the army, the acquisition of modern weapons and military equipment will continue.
