Azerbaijani FM: “As the negotiations did not yield results, we resolved conflict with military way”

“Azerbaijan was subjected to occupation during the first years of its independence,” said Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov at New world order after COVID-19 panel in VIII Global Baku Forum, Qazet.az reports.

According to the Minister, Azerbaijan has taken a positive approach to peace talks for 30 years: “The UN Security Council had adopted 4 resolutions on the liberation of Azerbaijani territories from the occupation. However, the resolutions were not implemented, negotiations mediated by the OSCE Minsk Group did not yield results. One resolution is implemented during 3 days, other resolutions are not implemented. We saw that there is no solution through negotiations. This completely loses credence to the UN. As negotiations did not yield results, we resolved conflict with military way,” stressed FM.
