Qazet.az reports that President Ilham Aliyev said this in a joint statement to the press after the meeting with Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili.

"Because without these relations with neighbors, no country can become a reliable transit country. And our friendly, brotherly and partnership relations with Georgia create these opportunities. As a whole, since there is a great demand for energy resources in the world and in Europe, Georgia and Azerbaijan should act from one front in this matter, will ensure its national interests by focusing on the point. Look, see how important the relations between the two brotherly countries are for the region, for Europe and for the world.
