Azerbaijan's MFA responded to Emmanuel Macron: "We reject baseless accusations"
"The views of the President of the Republic of France, Emmanuel Macron, directed against Azerbaijan in the said interview, aimed at a more domestic audience, completely one-sided and openly defending Armenia, are unacceptable, and we reject the groundless accusations voiced by the French head of state against Azerbaijan."
Qazet.az reports that this was reported by the Press Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.
The Ministry's comment on E. Macron's comments against Azerbaijan emphasized that the President of France is the head of state who has violated the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and the rights of hundreds of thousands of Azerbaijanis by ignoring the fundamental principles of international law, Armenia's occupation of Azerbaijan's territories for nearly 30 years, illegal activities in these lands. Despite the fact that his country is the co-chair of the Minsk Group, he did not say a single word about his gross violation and non-fulfillment of the resolutions of the UN Security Council.
"Unfortunately, the President of France is silent on the non-fulfillment of the provisions of the tripartite statement by Armenia and the threat to security in the region by burying mines in the territories of Azerbaijan.
