Baku hosts conference on Armenia's war crimes against Azerbaijan

A conference on "war crimes committed by Armenia against Azerbaijan in the last 30 years" was held in Baku today by the Center for Social Research (SRC).

Qazet.az reports that, STM Chairman of the Board Zahid Oruj, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court Cengiz Askerov, Chief Prosecutor's Office Investigation Department Nemat Avazov, Deputy Colonel Elshad Abilov attended the meeting. The Commander of the Ideological Work and Spiritual and Psychological Support Military Unit of the Ministry of Defense, Parliamentarians and other persons attended.

Speaking at the conference, STM Chairman Zahid Oruj said that the aim of the agitation around the image of the unknown murder of Armenian soldiers on October 2 this year was to hit our victory.
STM Chairman of the Board of Directors stated that Azerbaijan was fighting the Second Karabakh War as a just war in accordance with international law and said, "After our victory, the world saw that more than 1 million mines were buried in the liberated lands. This is terrorism itself. The only one from Khojaly so far. It should be noted that a murderer was not tried in international courts. Most of the "heroes" of the last 30 years are guilty of our people. The Hague Tribunal should have tried these Armenian criminals. A commission should be established to investigate the war crimes committed by Armenia in the First and Second Karabakh Wars.
Cengiz Asgarov, Vice President of the Supreme Court, noted that in October 2020, the Azerbaijani state filed an interstate complaint with the European Court: "In January 2021, Azerbaijan filed a major interstate complaint. In this complaint, of course, the acts constituting war crimes committed by Armenia are reflected in detail. I am confident that we will win in this area as well, the European Court will give a fair decision and compensation will be awarded to Armenia."
National Assembly Deputy Nizami Safarov emphasized that the war crimes committed by the Armenians are the logical consequence of the asymmetrical war waged against Azerbaijan.
Nemat Avazov, Head of the Investigation Department of the Attorney General's Office, noted that recently, many videos of unknown origin have been distributed about the killing of a large number of Armenian soldiers allegedly taken as captives and the aggressive actions against Armenians. their corpses were almost controlled by the Azerbaijani state on social networks. they describe it as a "genocide policy": "As the representative of the Prosecutor General's Office, I declare that Azerbaijan is a legal state and I immediately declare a reaction. Every video published. Criminal proceedings under Article 115 of the Criminal Code at the Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor regarding these events and the preliminary investigation of 10 criminal cases related to these events is continuing. As shown in the video, if the guilt of the alleged persons, military servicemen is proven, if the existence of a criminal truth is confirmed, of course, the problem of criminal liability can be resolved. The course of the investigation cannot be affected by the statement of any state or international organization. Let me make a point. The remains of many of our military personnel who were handed over to Azerbaijan during the Patriotic War were examined by us. We witnessed signs of a special persecution, brutal treatment, some of which were cut alive, their facial skin peeled off, their earlobes and noses cut off. Why react to them? don't they get it?"
