British Foreign Secretary: Russia threatens Europe’s security

"Russia's actions against Ukraine pose a real threat to security in Europe," the British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said in a column on Telegraph, Qazet.az informs, citing Yeni Safak.

"Our prime minister will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the coming days. He will try to make a diplomatic contribution by travelling to the region. I will also go to Moscow in the next two weeks. There are now more than 100,000 troops on the Ukrainian border. Russia previously invaded Ukraine and annexed Crimea in 2014, leading to war in Donbas. That is, there is still a real danger," she said.

Liz Truss stressed that they have given all possible support to Ukraine: "We are trying to increase the level of training of the Ukrainian troops. Thus, we have trained over 20,000 troops in Ukraine. We also support the Ukrainian navy."
