Chairman of OIC Human Rights Commission: “We have information that mosques were destroyed by Armenians in those territories”
The chairman noted that from tomorrow, the commission will start to carry out a fact-finding mission in the liberated territories
“The main purpose of the visit of Independent Permanent Commission on Human Rights of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to Azerbaijan is to be witness to human rights violations by Armenia in the liberated territories from the occupation,” said Chairman of the Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Saeed Mohammed Abdulla Omair Alghfeli, Qazet.az reports.
The chairman noted that from tomorrow, the commission will start to carry out a fact-finding mission in the liberated territories from the occupation: “We have information that mosques that were places of religious worship of local Muslim population in those areas, were destroyed by Armenians, the territory was mined. We will view those areas. Then as a result of the mission, a report of the Commission will be developed. The report will be presented to the world community.”
The chairman of the commission expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani government and Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva, as well as Ombudsman Office for organizing visits to the liberated territories from the occupation.
