In an interview with Qazet.az reports", Ma Chi, adviser on economic and commercial issues of the Chinese embassy in Azerbaijan, said this.

"Despite many negative factors such as the COVID-19 pandemic, the slow recovery of the world economy, and the instability of production and logistics chains, trade between China and Azerbaijan has maintained a stable development trend. China ranks fifth among Azerbaijan's trade partners and is the third largest source of imports," said the adviser of the embassy.

According to him, bilateral cooperation is developing in areas such as oil and gas exploration and exploitation, oil and gas services, information and communication, processing and production, alternative and renewable energy sources, cross-border transportation. Chinese companies are investing in the construction of the largest enterprise for the production of ceramics in the South Caucasus, providing network infrastructure and advanced solutions for a "smart village" in Zangilan district: "Also, the use of alternative and renewable energy sources with a total installed capacity of 470 MW to be built by Chinese companies in the near future the implementation of two new power plant projects will be started.
