Conference dedicated to Azerbaijani-Italian relations held-

Azerbaijan's independence in the 90s of the last century was a new page in the development of relations

Conference "Azerbaijan-Italy: The Road to Multilateral Strategic Partnership" has been held in ADA University, Qazet.az reports.

Speaking at the conference, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said that Italy recognized Azerbaijan's independence in January 1992, and diplomatic relations were established in May of that year.

The Minister said that in fact the relations between the two countries have historical roots: “Azerbaijan's independence in the 90s of the last century was a new page in the development of relations. Italy has opened its first embassy in the South Caucasus in Baku".
