Cristiano Ronaldo's $3 million sports car involved in scary crash

The car smashed into a wall but there was only material damage with no-one injured 

A $3 million sports car belonging to football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has been involved in a crash on the Spanish island of Mallorca, Qazet.az reports citing Yahoo News.

One of Ronaldo's bodyguards was reportedly behind the wheel of the Bugatti Veyron when it left the road and crashed on Monday.

Ronaldo and his family were travelling in a different vehicle in a small convoy when the accident occurred.

Thankfully no one was injured in the crash after the car hit a stone wall.

The front of the Bugatti was reportedly heavily damaged.

According to local newspaper Cronica Balear, the unidentified bodyguard continued on the journey with Ronaldo and his family and left other staff at the scene to assist police.

“The car smashed into a wall but there was only material damage with no-one injured and the driver accepted full responsibility for what happened," The Sun quoted a source as saying.

“The information about who was behind the wheel and what occurred is registered on a police database and is there for a court or officers to access if any further investigations need to be conducted.

“But it is more a case of the information needing to be registered so the owner of the property that was damaged can put in a compensation claim and use the police report as a back-up in case there is any dispute down the line about how the damage was done.”
