The prison sentences of Major General Ehtiram Khalilov, who served as directors of the "Azerterminalcomplex" association affiliated to the State Customs Committee, and Masum Rasulov, Head of the Committee's Operations and Investigation Department, were extended, Qazet.az reports according to the decision in the Sabail District Court.

According to the decision, E. Khalilov's prison sentence was extended by 3 months and M. Rasulov's sentence was extended by another 4 months.

It should be noted that both persons were detained during the complex operational-investigation measures of the criminal case, which was launched by the State Security Service on June 10 this year.

Khalilov Ehtiram Seyyafoğlu, who serves as the director of the "Azerterminalcomplex" association affiliated to the State Customs Commission, has deliberately used his service powers to gain an unlawful advantage in the performance of the service, contrary to the interests of the service, as a result of the investigations. official duties, in violation of the rules for the regulation and implementation of customs tenders determined by legislation, S.A. In the criminal case, Ehtiram Khalilov was brought to criminal liability under articles 308.1 (abuse of official power), 311.3.2 and 311.3.3 (repeated acceptance of large bribes) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The court took a detention order on June 22, 2022.

Also, according to the investigation, there are Babayev Rashad Tofig, Deputy Head of the General Customs Department of Energy Resources and Maritime Transport of the State Customs Committee, and Safarov Şükür Isbandiyar, who serves as the Head of the Road Taxes and Permit Forms Control Department.
