Deputies approved the project on compulsory medical insurance of taxi drivers
Deputies of the Milli Majlis have adopted the draft on compulsory medical insurance of taxi drivers in Azerbaijan.
According to Qazet.az reports, the draft amendment to the law "On Medical Insurance" was discussed in the third reading at today's session of the parliament.
The draft amendment was prepared in accordance with the law dated December 3, 2021 on amending the Tax Code.
In the draft of the amendment, natural persons who carry out passenger and cargo transportation in the territory of Azerbaijan on an individual basis (without involving hired workers) by motor vehicles, that is, passenger and cargo transportation (including by taxi) on the territory of the country with motor vehicles that they own or use, or such transportation It is planned to pay the mandatory medical insurance fee by the persons who perform it through other persons on the basis of the contract when receiving the "Distinction Badge".
With the acceptance of the document, natural persons of this category will be able to benefit from the services of compulsory medical insurance by paying the amount of 4% of the minimum wage (300 manats) (12 manats).
