The Chairperson of the Culture Committee of the Milli Majlis, Ganira Pashayeva, proposed to install a memorial plaque in front of the building where the people's artist of Azerbaijan and Dagestan, composer Elsa Ibrahimova lived, on the eve of her 85th anniversary.
According to Qazet.az reports he said that by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers in 2019-2020, the issue of installing that sign was raised, but it has not been resolved so far.
The MP recalled that President Ilham Aliyev signed the relevant decree on celebrating the 80th anniversary of Elsa Ibrahimova: "January 10 is the 85th anniversary of the deceased. His family asked for that plaque to be placed while he was on our committee. It should be taken into account that Elsa Ibrahimova is the author of "O Motherland" and a number of other famous musical works.
