Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada: "The people of Ukraine are grateful for Azerbaijan's support"

"Ukraine and Azerbaijan are strategic partners. This is reflected in the National Security Strategy approved on September 14, 2020, as well as in the Joint Declaration on deepening the strategic partnership signed between the presidents of the two countries - Ilham Aliyev and Volodymyr Zelensky on January 14, 2022."

Valery Kolyukh, a member of the ruling "Servant of the People" Party of the Verkhovna Rada (parliament) of Ukraine, said this in a statement to the Eastern Europe Bureau of Qazet.az reports

"During Russia's aggression, Azerbaijan supported Ukraine and provided humanitarian aid, which is of great importance for us. By August alone, its volume exceeded 1,700 tons, and this indicator continues to grow. This includes medicines, personal hygiene products, baby food, and other necessary materials and supplies. "All this is distributed among the internally displaced persons who need help in Dnepropetrovsk, Vinnytsia, Cherkassy regions, as well as among the victims of Russian aggression in Kharkiv, Mykolaiv and Zaporozhye regions," he stressed.
