Deputy: "Oncological disease has spread like a pandemic"
MP: Oncological disease has spread like a pandemic
"Chemical therapy of oncology patients is successfully carried out in the medical institutions operating in the country today with the means and the created infrastructure. There are only certain costs. This disease has already spread like a pandemic. We can see this if we compare the statistical numbers."
Qazet.az reports that MP Ilham Mammadov said this in connection with the discussion of the draft law "On the 2023 State Budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan" by the Public Unions and Religious Institutions, Science and Education, Family, Women and Children's Issues, Health, and Culture Committees of the Milli Majlis. he said during his speech at the joint meeting held on November 10.
"What needs to be done for more efficient use of funds allocated for primary health care? Rational costs should be taken into account. For example, the best means of accessing primary health care in remote rural areas is timely delivery of patients to medical facilities by ambulances. Today, the purchase of new ambulances is carried out in accordance with the procurement process. Although the Ministry of Finance allocates funds on time, sometimes tender companies delay these issues. The purchase of spare parts, the purchase of the reagents necessary for the implementation of drug laboratory services creates many problems. In such matters, I think that it would be good to give some authority and freedom to the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance. Because primary medical care is accessible and good, it can reduce a number of costs."
