Deputy: There is still a terrorist threat from Armenia for Azerbaijan
"Today, there is still a terrorist threat from Armenia for Azerbaijan. Burying a large number of landmines in the territory of Azerbaijan during the past year is direct terrorism."
Qazet.az reports that these views were expressed by Aydın Mirzazade, a member of the Milli Majlis.
According to him, it is also known that there are illegal armed groups in the areas where Russian peacekeepers are temporarily stationed, and that the weapons they acquire are not due to taxes collected from the population: "So, someone is financing them. Of course, the political side of the issue also plays a role. Terrorism is a threat to our country as a whole. "There is, and not only Azerbaijan, but also international currency administrations and international organizations should be active in fighting this case. In order to prevent such cases, it is important to adopt the new draft law "On the fight against the legalization of property obtained through crime and the financing of terrorism".
Ziyafat Asgarov, chairman of the Defense, Security and Anti-Corruption Committee of the MoC, said that the main goal is to ensure that financial institutions are more resistant to such situations: "The goal is to be able to prevent such events immediately. Because we are trying not to damage our economic system."
