Determining the customs value of goods in Azerbaijan is simplified
From now on, the determination of the customs value of goods in Azerbaijan should be based on simple and fair criteria, and customs valuation procedures should not differ depending on the sources of supply of goods.
Qazet.az reports that this was reflected in the draft law on "Amending the Law on Customs Tariff" sent to the Milli Majlis by President Ilham Aliyev.
According to the document, if the customs declaration submitted by the declarant to the customs authority is not approved by the customs authority within 1 day from the date of submission due to the need to specify the customs value of the declared goods, the declarant can apply to the customs authority in writing, including in electronic form, regarding the implementation of the release of the goods. . That application is considered according to the procedure established by the Customs Code.
The notification on making appropriate adjustments to the customs value of the goods that have not been released must be submitted to the declarant within 24 hours from the moment the customs declaration related to those goods is submitted to the customs authority.
The rules for the application of the methods of determining the customs value are determined by the body (institution) determined by the relevant executive authority.
