Eight provinces of Iran are facing the threat of food shortages, said Zahra Abdullahi, head of the food supply department of the Iranian Health Ministry, media reports.

Zahra Abdullahi noted that the food crisis is most pronounced in Sistan and Baluchestan, Kohgiluyeh and Boyerahmed Khuzestan, Hormozgan, Ilam, Kerman, South Khorasan and Bushehr.
