Elon Musk, owner of Tesla and SpaceX, has acquired a majority stake in Twitter.  The eccentric billionaire bought 9.2% of the company for $ 2.89 billion.

According to Qazet.az, the purchase took place after Musk's criticism of free speech on social media platforms.

Elon Musk thinks that, the ban on various public statements contradicts the principles of democracy, and Twitter is a modern "city square" where people express their views.

Shares of the company rose 25% after the purchase, and Mask himself conducted a survey on social media tonight on the need for an "edit" button.

Analysts predict that in the future, Mask may even try to buy back a majority stake in the company.

Elon Musk loves Twitter, which has more than 80 million followers on social media.  This network is especially popular among cryptocurrency lovers.
