Energy minister: France may lose markets due to energy crisis

The multifold increase in gas prices due to the energy crisis and the deterioration of competitive opportunities may lead to the loss of traditional sales markets by France, the country’s Minister of Energy Transformation Agnes Pannier-Runacher said at the Extraordinary Council of EU Energy Ministers in Brussels, where the issue of setting a gas price ceiling is being considered, Qazet.az reports according to foreign media.

“Today, the price of gas is five or even ten times higher than it was two years ago. This weakens our industry,” she said, adding that France will lose markets, which then won’t be able to return.
