Erdogan urges US either to give jets or money

"Although we have a lot of money, we are not a country that scatters it around," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on his way back home from a meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, Qazet.az says.

Asked by a journalist "You have made very clear statements about America. There are reports that you will meet US President Joe Biden at the G-20 Summit. Where are you at the G-20 summit to maintain the US-Russia balance?" Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.

“We will see the directions of our meeting with Biden there. For example, we had a meeting with him in Brussels, and now we will have another meeting in Rome. Maybe we'll talk about it there. What will be the US approach to Syria? We will have the opportunity to ask these questions. We will consider all military, political, economic and trade relations between us. For example, what will be the fate of the problem around F-35 jets? We have paid $1.4 billion. What will happen? We need to see their fate. Although we have a lot of money, we are not a country that scatters it around. We did not and do not earn this money easily. They will either give us our jets or our money."
