EU countries could not agree on the 9th package of sanctions against Russia
European Union (EU) countries could not reach a common denominator regarding the 9th package of sanctions against Russia.
Qazet.az report that "Reuters" published information about this.
"Even though there was an opportunity to reach an agreement in the talks held on Wednesday, Poland and some other countries still have objections," said one of the diplomats.
According to the agency, the main disagreement is over whether the EU should facilitate the import of Russian fertilizers through European ports.
It should be recalled that earlier it was reported that the new sanctions of the EU may cover 169 companies and individuals related to the Russian military-industrial complex. In addition, restrictions may apply to 144 individuals, including celebrities, TV presenters and bloggers.
