EU countries proposed a maximum price for Russian oil
Most countries of the European Union (EU) agree that the maximum price of Russian oil should be at the level of 65-70 dollars per barrel.
Qazet.az reports that "Politico" newspaper published information about this with reference to unnamed EU diplomats and officials.
Thus, the European Commission proposed setting the price at $65 per barrel, but Poland and the Baltic countries considered it too high. Poland, for example, is in favor of a maximum price of $30, and it also wants to link the oil issue with a new package of sanctions against Russia. Greece and Malta, where sea transportation is developed, suggest that it should be at least 70 dollars.
But according to the publication, the EU countries have not reached an agreement on the maximum price, despite long discussions.
