The prices of food products around the world have been falling for 6 months in a row after reaching a record high in March.
Qazet.az reports that this is stated in the report of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
Although the FAO Food Price Index, which reflects monthly changes in the international price of basic food products, decreased by 1.1% in September compared to August, it increased by 5.5% compared to September last year and amounted to 136.3 points.
The report noted that the price of vegetable oil decreased by 6.6% in one month and fell to the lowest level since February 2021. This is due to the increase in the export of soybean oil from Argentina, as well as the supply of sunflower oil from the Black Sea region.
